Santa or Daddy???

Yes, that is right Ryan is Santa!!! Ryan was Santa for the Clubhouse Christmas party. I think he makes a great Santa. Seth went to visit him when he was only 13 days old!! After visiting Santa, daddy came along on a hayride pulled by some really big horses around the community streets. It was a fun evening!!!

38 Weeks and counting...

Well here is the belly at 38 weeks (well 37 weeks and 6 days). I am getting so excited to not be pregnant anymore, but I am a little nervous about what I am going to have to deal with once I am not pregnant anymore! But I am so excited to meet our little man Seth. I think we are as ready as we are ever going to be, so I think we should get the show on the road, but I just have a feeling that I am going to go late, so I am not trying to get to set on going into labor anytime soon. But we will keep you all posted. And I am hoping that I can teach Ryan how to blog so when Seth is born he can post some pictures right away for our out of town family!!! Wish us luck, and send those "labor vibes" our way!

Meet our friend George

This is George. George is a very special monkey, he does not have any ears. But don't you worry, George has a very thoughtful creator. She knit him his very own Beanie so all the other sock monkeys would not make fun of his special condition. George is very excited and can't wait to meet his special friend Seth.

***If you are wondering why he doesn't have any ears....I screwed up his ears and did not have enough sock to make new ones. So the hat was our "fix" for the problem!! But I still think he is cute, and I don't think Seth will mind.***

Another Baby Shower

On Nov. 8th was my baby shower here in California. My good friend in the ward, Winter threw me a fabulous baby shower. She was so sweet to put it all together. It was so amazing to see all the support from great friends! I am truly blessed with wonderful people in my life. Thank you everyone!!

Lindy's Utah Trip

Here is a recap of my trip that I took to Utah recently. First on the slide show is a few pictures of my Baby Shower that my family threw for me. So many people came, I didn't know I was so popular!!! (J/K) But thank you everyone!!

Next was on Halloween my High School girlfriends had a Halloween party! I didn't have a costume planned so I dug through my mom's never ending Halloween costume box and found a Caveman costume that fit me! It was a fun party and great to catch up with everyone.

Then the rest of the pictures are of my Niece McKayden. She is such a sweetheart that I just kept taking pictures of her. But my trip was really fun. I think that I had lunch with a different person each day and the wonderful restaurants that California doesn't have (Training Table, Rumbi's, Cafe Rio, and Italian Village!!) Yummy!! It was so great to see everyone and I loved hanging out with the family. Thanks everyone for a great trip!!

While I was in Utah I was lucky enough to be there for my mom's themed Halloween Party. This year it was the new "Willie Wonka." It was really fun to dress up and see everyone else's costumes! If you know my mother you would know that she doesn't take Halloween lightly, she goes all out. I am sorry that I don't have better pictures of her costume that she made from scratch!! As well as the spooky dinner. But my cousin Paige took a lot of pictures so hopefully you can see them on her blog (Aase Family).

A Craft Day

On Monday my sister and I made nursing covers! It was an impromptu craft project, but a fun and very practical craft project. They are even complete with plastic boning in the neck so while you are feeding your baby you can see what you are doing but no one else can. Also on the bottom corners we added terry cloth fabric pockets to wipe their mouth and hold their binky or your nursing pads. Yesterday I was at the mall and saw the same things being sold for $29.99. How much did our project cost??? $9.76 I would say that is a bargain and might just be even cuter.

And look what is hiding under those nursing covers.... Two little cousin in the belly!! Kelsey is 1 week overdue (poor thing) and I am 33 weeks!! It was a very fun night catching up with my sister and mom. I miss being around for these kind of things. Hillary we missed you!!!

(P.S. To all of you who are wondering "what the heck is this post?" well our blog pops up when you get on our computer and I am a dorky wife and wanted to leave a little message for Ry. Oh yeah I am in Utah for a week visiting my family and Ry wasn't able to come. But stay tuned for fun pictures of my week here, Maybe a new baby (Kelsey's not mine), a Halloween party, and a baby shower!!)

I Love Knitting!!

I am addicted. All I want to do is knit. It works out quite nicely because most of the time I can just sit at work and knit. It even has gotten to the point where I get annoyed when I am at work and I have to work, not knit. (Pretty sad I know) But Before this summer all I knew was how to do a simple knit stitch, and I just made a bunch of scarfs. It wasn't that much fun. Then I graduated to making some blankets (see previous posts). But now I have taught myself how to do a couple of things (thank you YouTube for the free knitting lessons) like different types of stitches, using double pointed needles, circular needles, and I-cords. I know that doesn't mean anything to most of you, but I felt proud that I was able to teach myself and it actually works!! So I have been working on a couple of hats for Seth.
This one is a little aviator cap with cute little ear flaps

This is a creme hat with a ribbed roll brim

This one is a simple creme/green striped beanie

I am working on a couple of different things right now. But the big challenge is keeping my away from buying yarn and needles. Really I have a problem. BUT I LOVE IT!!!

32 Weeks

Here I am at 32 weeks pregnant! Yeah, I am so glad that I am almost done!!! Things are going just fine, I am just getting anxious to meet our little boy. (please don't mind the lovely slicked back hair in all my pictures--I don't like to get ready for work, I would rather sleep!!)

Juror #4

Well I thought I would give you an update about my jury duty fun since I was complaining about it earlier. I didn't have to report until Thursday to the court house, but lucky me I was selected to be on a jury!!! Can you believe it, I don't know how it happened. I tried to get out of it, but to no avail I am Juror #4. So they began the trial on Thursday afternoon and on Friday we were in court all day, and they are projecting another 5-7 days, not including deliberation!!!!! When the attorneys accepted the jury I think I almost started to cry. So it is going to be a very long week! I have the worst luck.

I've Been SUMMONED!!

That is right you heard me. I (Lindy) got summoned for jury duty. I can't believe it, after living in Utah for years I never got called, and then we move to California and not even a few months go by and I get called. I don't mind doing my "civic duty" but being pregnant and all, come on people!!! I just hope that they have a snack table or else someone is going to pay!!! (Just kidding!)

Trying to be crafty!!!

In an effort to still feel like my days are still productive, since graduating college and no longer working as much, my sister Hillary taught me how to knit a really cute baby blanket. The pictures do not do them justice, they are so cute as well as super comfy. Every time I had my knitting out Ryan or our nieces would cuddle up with them or rub the half-made blanket on their face. I first made a cream one because we didn't know what we were having then. But as soon as we found out that we were having a boy I had to make a blue one. (I have to apologize for the pictures they aren't very good in displaying my project. I guess you will just have to come see Seth and I to get a good look at them!!! When he comes that is...)

I then decided to make burp rags out of cloth diapers with really cute ribbon that I found in the dollar bin at Michael's. I know, I know the baby just spits up on them, but why not make a less desirable part of having a baby fun?!?! And plus most of the time you are wearing them on your shoulder, so why not accessorize?? I know Ryan thinks I am crazy too!!! (But remember I am trying to feel productive, while Ryan is at school all day and studying all the time.)

Pregnancy update- 27 weeks

I have been getting a lot of slack from family members that I haven't taken a picture of my growing belly in a long time. (The last one was when I was 16 weeks). So here is a picture, but I am warning you they are not very attractive pictures of myself, I can't believe I am posting them but here they are.

I had these pictures taken about two weeks ago, and it is surprising to see how quickly I am growing. (plus I look a little bit more presentable in them)

Things are going really well for Seth and I. I finally am feeling better (it took about until 20 weeks for the "morning" sickness to go away). But now things are going really well. He likes to tap dance on my bladder all day long (that's at least what It feels like. I probably should say he is doing some thing more masculine huh?) But I am starting to get really anxious to meet him, and I hope this last trimester goes quickly (fat chance I know..) Anyways gotta run to work, hope you all are doing well. See ya!!!

Ryan's Fishing Trip

The day after we got back from Catalina, Ryan and his Dad, along with really good family friends the Hathaway's, went on an overnight fishing trip down into Mexico. The boat left San Diego about 10 pm at night and drove about 70 miles into the middle of the ocean while everyone was sleeping. Then they woke up the next morning and fished the entire time back. Ryan ended up catching a 35-40 pound Tuna, and his dad caught a 15-18 pound Dorado. Ryan actually ended up catching the biggest fish on the boat and won a pool of cash that everyone put together. Good Job Ryan!!

Catalina

This past two weeks Ryan was on his two week break from school. On August 18-19 we took a little get-a-way trip to Catalina. We wanted to go have some fun while Ryan was out of school, celebrate our Anniversary, and have a get-a-way together before Seth arrives (Because Ryan's next break we will have a new baby!) It was the most fun I have had in a long time. I wish we could go back.....

On the first day we took an early boat out of Newport beach to the Island. When we got to the island we just walked around looked at the beautiful scenery and looked in the cute little shops, ate lunch and just relaxed. I was so amazed at how blue the water was over there! Later on we went on a semi-submersible submarine underwater sea tour. It was really cool to see all the fancy fish. That night we ate dinner by the water, and just enjoyed being together. I love you Ryan.

The next day we woke up and went to all the little beach spots in Avalon. The water was very cold to me, but I made myself go swimming a couple of times. It was just a really fun day hanging out with Ryan. I really enjoyed spending so much time with Ryan, I never wanted it to end. But it was really fun and I recommend taking a trip over there if you haven't.
