an outing to the beach!

We went to Huntington beach a week ago (late post I know). Danielle and her family along with Ryan went to the beach earlier in the day, while my mother and father-in-law and I were at work (mean huh!!) But when we were all off work we met up with them for dinner and a bonfire at the beach. It was a really great time, and really relaxing. This is the one part of living in California I really like.

A visit to the Hospital

On Tuesday I came home from work and I see Ryan sitting on the couch with a bag of ice and tears in his eyes. I said "What Happened?" Apparently like 20 min. prior he was at the skate park and fell on his skateboard. He said that after it happened he passed out, and he passed out once more on the way to his car. I took one look at his ankle and said lets go to the hospital! The pictures don't do his ankle justice it looked like an apple was stuck under his skin! Good news, the doctor said that he is so lucky that he didn't break any bones because he had never seen swelling so bad on a sprained foot. But the doctor said that he popped a bunch of ligaments in his ankle and he wanted to treat it like a break. So we left the hospital with a bandages, a splint, and crutches! He is not supposed to put any weight on it until all the swelling goes down because it swelled up so much he doesn't want Ryan to do anymore damage. All and all I guess it was a good experience to run around and get acquainted with a new hospital. We will keep you posted about his progress. As of right now he is still very swollen, and black and blue.

Redlands Temple

Last Saturday was our Ward Temple night, so we decided that it was a great opportunity to go to the temple. I (Lindy) have never been to the Redlands Temple before, so it was another great experience at a new temple. I am used to going to some of the larger temples, but this one was so small but it was so gorgeous. I tried to take some pictures, but the lighting was not very good and I don't have a very good camera. I hope you enjoy!
