A Day at the Beach!!!

Last saturday we decided to take a trip to the beach since I haven't been since we moved to California. Ryan's school is pretty close to the beach so he had already been surfing 4 times last week. (We will see how long that lasts with school picking up.) It was very beautiful at the beach, and it was so relaxing. I can totally see how living by the beach can be very addicting. While Ryan surfed I just sat bundled up in a towel and read the entire second book of Harry Potter. Thats the life huh!?!?

DISNEYLAND!!!!!

Thanks to our "HERO" Jeff (Our brother-in-law who is a Sheriff), the whole family (minus Jay and Cheryl because Ryan and I used their tickets to get in) got to go to Disneyland last night. We went as soon as Janelle got out of school around 3 PM. Now usually going to Disneyland for me was like a big deal, you know an all day thing, get up at the crack of dawn and stay til you have bloody stumps for feet so you got your money's worth. But living so close to Disneyland it was a new experience just to go for the evening. It was so much fun!! We didn't get to go on very many rides but we did get to hit the Tower of Terror, the new Space Mountain (which is awesome!!!) and Thunder Mountain. Since it was a Friday night it was pretty busy, and we couldn't stay late because Jeff had to go to work, but even still it was a blast.

THE LAB COAT!!!

Well on Ryan's first day of Orientation Ryan recieved his Lab coat that he will be wearing in the Clinic. He was pretty excited that it even had his name on it!!! I think it is kinda funny, but I guess it is professional looking. Of course as soon as he brought it home, I was like "we have to take a picture of it for the blog!" So Ryan humored me and let me take a picture of it. The pictures are kinda lame but we were trying to find a way so you could see the school logo, and his name! Ryan a Chiropractor....WEIRD!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everybody!!! It may be just me but it seems like 2007 went way too fast!!! I know everyone must say that but this year seemed especially fast! But at the same time 2008 holds great things for us, especially Ryan starting Chiropractic college. I am so proud of him, I know that he will do great. At the same time I am so glad that it is not me!!!! (sorry Ry hang in there!!!) Well our new years consisted of hanging out with the Cryders and Ryan's parents which was very fun, we had amazing Carne Asada (spelling way off I know!!!) And played a heated game of Battle of the Sexes, and Fact or Crap.. (fun games by the way) We really got into the games that we almost missed the countdown. Oops! Well I hope you like the pictures. If you can't tell on the second picture we are jumping on ballons that cute Janelle blew up to stomp on at midnight. She also fell asleep at 7:00 and missed the party..... Anyways I hope you all had a wonderful New Years, and have a great 2008.

The big move!!!

Well the day finally arrived when Ryan and I had to say goodbye to Utah. We packed up and moved December 27 to Corona California. I could tell that Ryan was a little excited to get back to his old stomping ground, But as for me I was a little scared, nervous,etc.... I have lived in Utah my whole life, and I have never had to leave family for a very long period of time. It was really hard for me to leave But now that I am here it okay. (The weather is WONDERFUL!!!) Ryan's mom keeps saying how cold it is....60 degrees is not cold Cheryl!!!! To Ryan and I it feels wonderful. Ryan said that people in California should not have the word COLD in their vocabulary. It is cool in California, NOT cold. Anyways enough about the weather, This past week has been filled with many hours at the DMV, job serching for Lindy, orientation and surfing for Ryan.

Anyways here are some pictures of the move, the first one is in front of our townhome in Provo, and the second one is us standing by our UHAUL. GOODBYE UTAH!!!!

This was our christmas fun at the Smith house. As you can tell we had fun with making gingerbread houses with everyone. It was a really great holiday and We hope that you all had a great holiday season.

Catch up game.....

Well December has been a really big month for Ryan and I. It first started with Ryan graduating with his degree from UVSC, and I graduated from the University of Utah with my degree in Human Development and Family studies. Can't tell how exciting it is to not be in school anymore!!! But then the craziness started. We both quit our jobs on Dec. 22 and started packing for our big move to California. We stayed in Utah to be with my family for Christmas since we are going to be living with Ryan's parents for a while. On Dec. 27 we packed everything in our cars and a Uhaul trailer and made the move to California. I will have to say that it was very hard for me to leave my family, but it was something that I had to do eventually. So far here in California it is really nice weather and we are moved into our room upstairs in Jay and Cheryls house , and it is really great. It is really fun to be with Ryan's family, and Danielle's cute girls, Janelle and Corrine. So Today Ryan has orientation at SCUHS, and I am sitting at home still trying to find a job. I Thouht that I would enjoy not having anything to do, but to tell you the truth I want a job really bad, and people are just taking too long to call me back (not really, I am just getting anxious.) Hopefully something will turn up soon for me. Well I will give updates later! love you all!!!
