A Craft Day
On Monday my sister and I made nursing covers! It was an impromptu craft project, but a fun and very practical craft project. They are even complete with plastic boning in the neck so while you are feeding your baby you can see what you are doing but no one else can. Also on the bottom corners we added terry cloth fabric pockets to wipe their mouth and hold their binky or your nursing pads. Yesterday I was at the mall and saw the same things being sold for $29.99. How much did our project cost??? $9.76 I would say that is a bargain and might just be even cuter.
And look what is hiding under those nursing covers.... Two little cousin in the belly!! Kelsey is 1 week overdue (poor thing) and I am 33 weeks!! It was a very fun night catching up with my sister and mom. I miss being around for these kind of things. Hillary we missed you!!!

I Love Knitting!!
I am addicted. All I want to do is knit. It works out quite nicely because most of the time I can just sit at work and knit. It even has gotten to the point where I get annoyed when I am at work and I have to work, not knit. (Pretty sad I know) But Before this summer all I knew was how to do a simple knit stitch, and I just made a bunch of scarfs. It wasn't that much fun. Then I graduated to making some blankets (see previous posts). But now I have taught myself how to do a couple of things (thank you YouTube for the free knitting lessons) like different types of stitches, using double pointed needles, circular needles, and I-cords. I know that doesn't mean anything to most of you, but I felt proud that I was able to teach myself and it actually works!! So I have been working on a couple of hats for Seth.
This one is a little aviator cap with cute little ear flaps
This is a creme hat with a ribbed roll brim
This one is a simple creme/green striped beanie
I am working on a couple of different things right now. But the big challenge is keeping my away from buying yarn and needles. Really I have a problem. BUT I LOVE IT!!!

Juror #4
Well I thought I would give you an update about my jury duty fun since I was complaining about it earlier. I didn't have to report until Thursday to the court house, but lucky me I was selected to be on a jury!!! Can you believe it, I don't know how it happened. I tried to get out of it, but to no avail I am Juror #4. So they began the trial on Thursday afternoon and on Friday we were in court all day, and they are projecting another 5-7 days, not including deliberation!!!!! When the attorneys accepted the jury I think I almost started to cry. So it is going to be a very long week! I have the worst luck.

I've Been SUMMONED!!
That is right you heard me. I (Lindy) got summoned for jury duty. I can't believe it, after living in Utah for years I never got called, and then we move to California and not even a few months go by and I get called. I don't mind doing my "civic duty" but being pregnant and all, come on people!!! I just hope that they have a snack table or else someone is going to pay!!! (Just kidding!)

Trying to be crafty!!!
In an effort to still feel like my days are still productive, since graduating college and no longer working as much, my sister Hillary taught me how to knit a really cute baby blanket. The pictures do not do them justice, they are so cute as well as super comfy. Every time I had my knitting out Ryan or our nieces would cuddle up with them or rub the half-made blanket on their face. I first made a cream one because we didn't know what we were having then. But as soon as we found out that we were having a boy I had to make a blue one. (I have to apologize for the pictures they aren't very good in displaying my project. I guess you will just have to come see Seth and I to get a good look at them!!! When he comes that is...)
I then decided to make burp rags out of cloth diapers with really cute ribbon that I found in the dollar bin at Michael's. I know, I know the baby just spits up on them, but why not make a less desirable part of having a baby fun?!?! And plus most of the time you are wearing them on your shoulder, so why not accessorize?? I know Ryan thinks I am crazy too!!! (But remember I am trying to feel productive, while Ryan is at school all day and studying all the time.)
