Well about a week ago we realized that our basement flooded. We rarely ever use our basement so it took us about two days to realize it was flooded. I found the water after seeing every basement in our row of townhomes with fans going, and decided to go check our basement. And to my surprise there was water everywhere. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if we noticed it earlier, but what can you do. Fortunatly because every home in our row flooded, the homeowners association is paying for people to come fix the carpet. But we don't know really what happened and hope that they will pay for other damages such as sheetrock in the closet where the water came through, and our ruined tent and sleeping bags, dutch oven, etc... Fat chance but we can try!! The thing that has been the worst is the smell, and it feels like we are living in Florida with the humidity!! But hey I guess you have to have some excitement.
